The La Porte County Symphony Orchestra is pleased to present the second subscription concert of the 2024-25 season on Saturday, February 8 at 4 pm CST at the La Porte High School Performing Arts Center. Dr. Carolyn Watson will lead the orchestra in a family friendly concert that pays homage to animals and the natural world. Many thanks to Timothy and Anne Walsh for their generous underwriting of this concert.

The program includes Camille Saint-Saëns' Carnival of the Animals, Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf, and the US premier of Australian composer Matthew Hindson's Dangerous Creatures, a modern take on Carnival of the Animals depicting the many varied creatures of the Australian landscape.

The LCSO is excited to partner with the Michiana Humane Society, Humane Indiana, and Quinlan and Fabish Music Company to provide activities for families before and during the concert. Animal and instrument petting zoos will make this a fun and interactive event for the whole family!

Tickets can be purchased online at Animal Kingdom Tickets. Adult $25, Senior (60+) $22, Students with ID and Children FREE. Tickets will also be available at the door. Seating is general admission and doors will open at 3:00 pm the afternoon of the concert. For more information, please call 219.362.9020.
