Starting July 5th, the Libratory will be open from 9 AM to 4 PM the first Saturday of every month!
In order to accommodate Saturday hours, the Libratory will also be closed the first Friday of every month.
You can always find the Libratory's hours at www.lcplin.org/libratory. We hope these new hours will help even more people digitize, create, and discover. Be sure to try out our 3D printers, movie editing software, recording booth, and so much more!

Have You Tried Novelist?
Looking to enhance your Summer Reading? Novelist has art and artist themed reads to go with our Color Our World theme!
You Asked, We Answered!
Question: I noticed that the library puts together a big arts show in late spring, but it seems like that event is more for established artists. Does the library ever do art events for kids or student art?
Answer: Yes! This summer we are hosting "The Library's Next Top Bookmark" contest, a graphic design contest where teens ages 12-19 can submit original designs for library bookmarks. The winning design will be printed and made available at all of our branches after summer! To submit a design and check out the rules, head to www.lcplin.org/LNTB.
We are also having a Teen Art Show at Merrillville Branch for Merrillville teens. Artists ages 12-18 who live in Merrillville can bring a piece of their original art (no larger than 16"x20") to the library where we will display it throughout the summer. Submissions will be accepted until the end of June, and awards will be announced in July!
