The pitching staff combined to fan 10 in the first game with double-digit strikeouts since the All-Star break. Ottawa finished with 12 hits while the Boomers notched eight. Grant-Parks notched a pair while Berry doubled twice. Braxton Davidson saw his on-base streak reach 20 games with a single in the fourth, the first hit of the game for the Boomers against Ottawa starter Tyler Jandron who worked into the eighth and struck out eight. Clint Hardy singled in the sixth to stretch his streak to 17 straight contests reaching base. The crowd was the 11th of the year over 5,000 for the league’s leader in attendance.
