Become a Friends Board Member!
Looking for a way to get involved in your community? The Friends of LCPL are looking for board members! Help decide special library programming and get the inside scoop on LCPL events and services.
The Friends board meets every other month on the second Tuesday at Merrillville Branch. Our next meeting will be February 8th at 3 PM and we'd love to see you there!
(All are welcome, even if you don't plan to become a board member.)

Question: Would it be possible to search the business history for the address of 9325 Kennedy Avenue, Munster, IN?
Answer: I searched the Haines Directories for the address and VELKO Hinge, Inc has been the sole occupant from 1984 to present. The address did not exist prior to 1984.
Further info for other researchers: Merrillville Branch keeps a print copy of the Haines Directory for Northwest Indiana as a restricted reference material. Anyone can look at it by showing their library card or ID, but the directory must stay in the building!
