La Porte County Symphony Orchestra Principal Percussionist, Brad Staats, has had a chair named in his honor by long-time LCSO supporters, Leigh & Marcia Morris.
Staats, an LCSO member for 32 years, currently serves as Principal Percussionist.
“Brad Staats is an inspiration to us and many others because he’s not only a consummate professional musician that’s dedicated to the LCSO, but he’s also one of the nicest persons you’d ever want to meet,” stated Leigh & Marcia Morris.
“Brad is a very respected member of the LCSO,” said Executive Director, Tim King. “He goes above and beyond with his preparation and has been a wonderful tutor in our Student Apprentice Program. He cares deeply about the Orchestra and I am so happy to see that he is being honored.”
Brad joins five other musicians in the Orchestra who are now sitting in named chairs as a result of the Orchestra’s 50th Anniversary “Music Forever” campaign.
