Wayne Peeples, with Aramark, along with Tahria Rollins, with Oakland City University and Sherri Fritter, with Wexford Medical were presented with a certificate and cup from the Indiana Staff and Development Department. The dedication to service and their outstanding performance helped maintain a sense of normalcy over the course of the pandemic.

Peebles2

Aramark Director Wayne Peeples oversees food service operations and is responsible for ordering and stocking of food to feed over 2,500 offenders three times a day.  He's also in charge of managing staff and offenders to keep everything running smoothly. Over the course of the pandemic Wayne has ensured  all food safety protocols are followed and shares his expertise with staff to help them improve their food service knowledge. Mr. Peeples' service has extended beyond the Indiana State Prison as he has also aided the Westville Correctional Facility with food service related assistance.  Mr. Peeples is an ultimate team player and a valued contract team member at the Indiana State Prison.

Rollins2

Tahria Rollins is assigned to the Education Department with Oakland City University.  Her supervisor has been out of the facility due to a recent accident, preventing his return to work.  Ms. Rollins stepped forward to fill the void and has performed exemplary with her leadership at the Indiana State Prison’s Education Department.  She has taken over the Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC) and the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) programs for offenders seeking to improve their education. This responsibility requires extensive paperwork, frequent traveling to administer the tests while ensuring all federal guidelines are followed in the administration, evaluation and submission of materials and maintaining the integrity of the test. Ms. Rollins is an ultimate team player and ensures every task is met and performed to the proper standard and does so in a self directed manner.

Fritter2

Sherri Fritter is the Health Care Administrator with Wexford Medical. Day to day operations can be trying in a correctional environment but when you add emergencies and a pandemic into the mix, rationality and calmness could be hard traits to find.  Fortunately, Mrs. Fritter is on the Indiana State Prison team!  Since the COVID-19 outbreak, she has ensured all medical protocols are followed and assists in all areas and aspects of Correctional Health Care. Sherri is a crucial team player who consistently puts in numerous hours to ensure protocols and regulations are up to date and and all compliance standards are achieved.  Mrs. Fritter has done an outstanding job overseeing our medical services operation while also maintaining a ZERO Backlog.  Very impressive!
