Opening in the Fall of 2023, the American Factory Building will boast three event spaces, a new distillery, multiple restaurant concepts, and a new brewery concept!

THE TALK OF THE TOWN
The American Factory building in Valparaiso, Indiana has lived many lives dating back to 1865. Journeyman Distillery has always appreciated revitalizing existing structures and takes pride in the homage to details in this rustic, modern, and inviting space.

As we turn the corner to spring, we are inching closer to getting our doors open to the public in the Fall.

We are currently booking weddings and private and corporate gatherings for this historic building and look forward to letting us host your event.

Spanning 140,000 sq. ft., the American Factory Building offers unmatched event spaces incorporating an award-winning distillery (Journeyman), brewery, restaurant, and multiple event spaces. Relive your wedding day, time and time again by visiting our facility 362 days a year. We offer unique experiences and celebrate occasions from elegant to casual in our historic spaces accommodating parties of 25-1,200.

EVENT SPACES FOR EVERY OCCASION

WEST ROOM

Preserved masonry, windows, and industrial beams offer a timeless atmosphere steeped in history. The West Room overlooks our 35’ Copper Vendome Still producing some of America’s finest Ryes, Bourbons, and memories for years to come. This space was home to the National Pin Company in 1873 followed by the Buttermilk Soap Factory in 1890.

EAST ROOM

Wrapped in the original historic windows with panoramic views of the courtyard and water tower. Imagine the hustle and bustle of the historic factory building now transformed into a marriage of old and new. Enjoy the romantic view from the private balcony overlooking the original home of the 1880s Barry Carriage and Wagon Works.

TOWER GARDEN

Situated just below our 130’ water tower, nestled against the factory building amid natural greenery and native wildflowers. This charming, unforgettable view is the perfect backdrop to host your most memorable events such as your ceremony or cocktail hour. In 1862, directly across the street was the home of the Korn and Junker Brewery, Valparaiso’s only pre-prohibition brewery at the time.
