
The holidays are here and a tradition will be rekindled with the annual Christmas concert featuring the Bishop Noll Institute concert band and choir conducted by Rocco Carioto.
The concert will take place at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12 in the school’s auditorium, 1519 Hoffman St. in Hammond, Door C.
The concert is free and includes a visit from Santa who will stay after the concert for family pictures.
The Concert Band will feature many holiday favorites including “A Christmas Festival” by Leroy Anderson, selections from a “A Nightmare Before Christmas” and a special concert band/rock band version of “Carol of the Bells.”
Everyone will climb aboard as the band performs “The Theme from The Polar Express.” The BNI Jazz Band will bring the Peanuts characters to life with selections from “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and the school’s Mariachi Band will perform traditional Christmas selections. The BNI choir will perform George Michael’s “Last Christmas,” a special a capella version of “Silent Night,” as well as singing many favorites such as “White Christmas.” Guests will see it snow live during the concert.
All attendees must wear a mask during the concert and keep at least one seat open between families.
