INDOT Encourages Hoosiers to Report Scam Tolling Text Messages

  1. Home

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) released information regarding the alarming amount of scam text messages Hoosiers receive about unpaid or past due toll fees.

INDOT encourages everyone to delete and report any and all suspicious tolling-related text messages from INDOT or another tolling service provider to the Federal Trade Commission and/or Internet Crime Complaint Center.

It is important to note: INDOT does NOT send text messages related to unpaid or past due tolls.

Hoosiers are falling victim to these scams and it is important that we get the word out on how to combat scam tolling fees. Drive safe, and stay vigilant.
