The Indiana State Police is currently seeking applicants for the position of Building Custodian I - Lafayette District. This civilian role involves the essential maintenance of the State Police building facilities and surrounding grounds at our District 14 Lafayette location.
Job Duties:
- Perform basic cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and cleaning restrooms.
- Set up and organize meeting rooms, and move furniture as needed.
- Inspect, raise, and lower flags as directed.
- Operate cleaning, mowing, and maintenance equipment and tools.
- Inspect and replace light bulbs and fluorescent tubes.
- Perform basic maintenance on water softeners, humidifiers, and furnaces.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to perform general maintenance and cleaning duties.
- Competence in operating cleaning, mowing, and maintenance equipment and tools.
- Ability to successfully pass a background investigation.
- Submission of a complete work history, high school transcript or GED certificate, any college transcripts, technical certificates, and a military DD214 or NGB22 (if applicable).
