Get Out Alive is a new autobiographical afrogoth musical written by Artist Nikki Lynette. Starting as an opening act for Pussy Riot, it was developed as a full-length musical at the American Music Theatre Project (AMTP) at Northwestern University. When the pandemic hit, the team quickly transitioned and adapted the show into an award-winning independent film that has now been selected and featured in 10 film festivals around the world (watch the trailer).

Get Out Alive will officially return to the stage this summer in its first extended run produced by Haven Chicago at The Den Theatre from July 13 to August 7, 2022.  With music that is equal parts punk, hip hop, alternative rock, and trip hop, this immersive social-impact musical mixes multiple forms of performance and media to help reimagine the face, spirit, and mission of American theatre.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) is one of the world's largest memberships of producers and theaters who come together to support the future of musicals. Their annual Festival of New Musicals in NYC is a renowned showcase where 8 new works are selected, workshopped, and presented with Broadway-level talent.

In 2022, NAMT received over 480 submissions for the festival, and Get Out Alive was selected as one of the eight musicals to represent the best in the industry right now!!! Broadway shows such as Come From Away, The Drowsy Chaperone, and Thoroughly Modern Millie got their start at NAMT and just this past year, four of the shows from the 2020 festival have secured professional productions. If you're in NYC this fall, come support our next big step!
