There four separate reports of bicycle thefts in Munster this past week.
Please read the following safety tips:
• Lock-up your bicycle at all times when it is outside of your residence or a business using a strong, quality bicycle lock. Some locks can easily be cut with tools so always investigate how the lock can be defeated first.
• When possible, store bicycles inside of your locked garage and do not leave it open and unattended. Lock your bicycle to something inside of the garage that is heavy and unable to be moved.
• If possible, lock up your bicycle in a location where surveillance cameras are present.
• Take photos of your bicycle and its serial number and upload it to an online property records system.
