Hellenic Heads features six larger-than-life busts inspired by key periods in Greek history spanning 2,500 years, from ancient times to the present, modeled by hand to represent members of acclaimed sculptor George Petrides’ family. His process is also informed by sculptural precedents, ranging from works from the represented time periods to more recent sculptors including Michelangelo and Rodin. Public details: Hellenic Heads by acclaimed sculptor George Petrides has been extended at the National Hellenic Museum in Greektown (333 S. Halsted Street, Chicago) through Sunday, January 28, 2024. Regular museum hours are Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tickets are $10 and include admission to all exhibits, with special discounts available for seniors, students and children.
