The annual Happy Together tour landed recently at Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, Michigan.
Audience members jubilantly welcomed the artists on this current tour with cheers and applause. The Happy Together Tour, which has been an annual occurrence on the concert scene for 15 years, regularly brings together artists from the ‘60s and ‘70s to entertain crowds with their biggest hits. The Happy Together concert concept was started by musicians Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman, who are also known as Flo and Eddie of The Turtles.
At the Four Winds show, Ron Dante of The Archies’ fame, performed as The Turtles. Dante has been filling in for Howard Kaylan for several years now since Kaylan hasn't been performing due to illness. (This season, illness prevented Volman from performing. And last week, it was announced that Vollman passed away on Sept.5 after a “brief, unexpected illness,” according to his reps.)
If music fans were looking for a good time, the Four Winds’ Silver Creek Event Center was the place to be for this 2025 Happy Together show.
Performing on the roster at Four Winds was Little Anthony, Jay and The Americans, Gary Puckett, The Vogues and Ron Dante as The Turtles. Each act performed separately and offered up three to four of their biggest hits. The Vogues’ segment featured the songs “Five O’ Clock World,” “My Special Angel,” “Turn Around, Look At Me” and “You’re The One” while Jay and The Americans entertained with “Only lin America,” “Cara Mia,” “Come A Little Bit Closer” and “This Magic Moment.” Little Anthony proved his vocals are still intact with shining versions of “Tears on My Pillow,” “Shimmy Shimmy Ko Ko Bop,” “Hurt So Bad” and “Goin’ Out of My Head.”

The personable Gary Puckett, who encouraged the crowd to sing along with him, delivered “Lady Willpower,” “Over You,” “This Girl is a Woman Now,” and “Young Girl.”
Wrapping up the energetic show was The Turtles with hit songs such as “She'd Rather Be With Me,” Elenore” and “Happy Together,” the song for which the tour is named. Ron Dante also performed The Archies’ “Sugar, Sugar” during The Turtles’ set.
