Bishop Noll Institute Drama Club will present a moving and modern retelling of a classic Greek myth as this year’s fall play.
Bishop Noll Institute’s Drama Club will present Eurydice as this year's fall play. Written by Sarah Ruhl, “Eurydice” retells the tragic love story of Orpheus and Eurydice.
Performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. Nov 18, 3:00 p.m. Nov. 19, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 19 and 2:30 p.m. Nov. 20. All shows are in the Bishop Noll Auditorium, 1519 Hoffman St. in Hammond. Enter Door C.

The show stars junior Iris Romero as Eurydice and senior Brian Barragan as Orpheus. Junior Emiliano Soto and senior Jackson Montgomery also star.
Romero has appeared in several past productions including,“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” “She Kills Monsters,” and “Xanadu.” and is a member of Speech Team and National Honor Society.
Barragan makes his stage debut in this production. Outside of theater, he is a part of Guitar Club, Chess Club and the Speech Team.
Soto makes his acting debut with this production though he is no stranger to the Fine Arts Department at Noll. He is a member of the band, choir and Art Club. He is also a member of the Chess Club, Biology Club and Science Olympiad Team.
Montgomery was part of several past Noll theater productions including “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” “She Kills Monsters,” and “Xanadu.” At school, Montgomery serves as a Student Ambassador, helping the admissions department promote Bishop Noll to prospective students. He is a member of the Black Student Union, plays varsity baseball and is captain of the bowling team.
The cast also includes Taylor Adams, Amy Ledeza, Ayanna Wash, Keira Quinlan, Hailey Wojtaszek, Painalli Patino, Aranza Ramos, Jara Zamora and Annica Thomas.
Bishop Noll Institute is a Catholic, co-educational four-year high school under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Gary. Now in its 102nd school year, Bishop Noll consistently receives high rankings from the Indiana Department of Education and offers the only STREAM (incorporating the principals of Science, Technology, Engineering, Religion, Art and Math) program in Northwest Indiana. The Fine Arts Department includes coursework and after school activities in music, art and theater.
