Chicago Fire FC continues a two-game homestand at Soldier Field on Saturday, May 29, taking on CF Montréal. Beginning at Noon CT, the match will be broadcast live on WGN-TV, CFFC Live and Latino Mix 93.5 FM. Tickets for the match against Montreal are currently on sale.

The Fire (1-4-1, 4 points) will look to record their second consecutive win of the season when facing Montréal (2-3-2, 8 points). Chicago enters the match having gained momentum with a 1-0 victory over Inter Miami CF on Saturday, May 22, recording its first win and first clean sheet in 2021. After creating a number of chances in the first half, including Przemysław Frankowski hitting the crossbar in the 21st minute (WATCH ), the Fire eventually found the breakthrough goal in the 69th minute when midfielder Luka Stojanović scored a long-range free kick, notching his team-leading third goal of the season (WATCH).

The Fire hold a 5-1-3 home record against Montréal and are unbeaten in their last three home games (2-0-1) against the Canadian club dating back to 2017. The last encounter between the two teams resulted in a 2-2 draw on Oct. 3, 2020, at Red Bull Arena. Robert Berić and Francisco Calvo provided the goals for the Fire in that match. Entering Saturday’s match, Montréal is coming off its second straight loss in league play after suffering a 2-1 home defeat to FC Cincinnati on Saturday, May 22.
