Macerich's Fashion Outlets of Chicago, located at 5220 Fashion Outlets Way in Rosemont, will get in the holiday spirit with Santa visits at the shopping center beginning Friday, Nov. 18. While visits with Santa are always free, Fashion Outlets of Chicago will offer a variety of Santa photo packages for memories that will last a lifetime.
On Saturday, November 19 beginning at 10:30 a.m., guests can begin their holiday season festivities in style with Santa’s Kick Off, where they can decorate a Cinnabon MiniBon®, write letters to Santa, create a holiday craft and join in on spreading the holiday fun with a special countdown lighting of Santa HQ. Plus, guests can receive a free 6” x 8” photo with the purchase of any Santa photo package.
Throughout the season, families are invited to bring their leashed furry friends to take part in photos with Santa during Fashion Outlets of Chicago’s family-favorite Pet Nights. Every Monday evening from November 21 through December 5, cats and dogs are welcome to join their owners for photos with Santa from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Participating pet owners are encouraged to park on P2 (second level) of the parking garage to easily access Santa’s set. This year, Pet Nights visits are held in partnership with PAWS Chicago. All holiday season long, Fashion Outlets of Chicago will donate $5 to PAWS Chicago for each Santa visit on Pet Nights.
In addition, Fashion Outlets of Chicago again invites children with special needs and their families to enjoy a Sensory-Friendly Santa Experience on Sunday, December 4 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Taking place prior to shopping center opening, the Sensory-Friendly Santa Experience will be carefully managed to accommodate guests with autism and other special needs, including necessary environmental adjustments to meet guests’ sensory challenges. Sensory-Friendly Santa Experiences are held in partnership with Autism Speaks.
To further spread holiday cheer, Fashion Outlets of Chicago has partnered with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital this season. In support of St. Jude’s, Pajama Parties will take place each Tuesday, encouraging Fashion Outlet of Chicago’s shoppers to donate and participate in Cards for Kids where they can create and design a free digital card for St. Jude kids undergoing treatment for cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
Located near the center’s Food Court, operating hours for Santa visits are outlined below.
November Hours (beginning Nov. 18):

- Sundays: 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.
December Hours:
- Monday – Saturdays: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Sundays: 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.
- Christmas Eve Hours:10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Also joining in on the fun, Loes Chicago O’Hare Hotel located at 5300 N River Rd, will celebrate the holiday shopping season with a special Shop Stay Save package for guests to experience a luxurious stay paired with shopping at the Fashion Outlets of Chicago.
