Lubeznik Center for the Arts (LCA) strives to empower and encourage students of all ages to enjoy a lifelong love of art and creativity.

Learning programs including classes, camps, outreach events, and more are offered to children, teens, and adults.

Beginning in September, LCA's Fall 2021 lineup includes a wide variety of engaging classes for every age and skill level such as Painting for Young Artists (7+), Abstract Painting I & II, (16+), Beginning and Advanced Mixed Media (18+), and Sandcastle Writers (21+).

LCA is also offering a number of individual workshops targeted toward unique artistic expression like Web Felted Scarf/Shawl (15+) and LIVE Owl Sketching (18+). Also back by popular demand is LCA's Fused Glass workshop (15+). (To ensure a safe environment for everyone, all LCA classes and workshops will follow Covid-19 protocols.)

In addition, LCA's Teen Arts Council (TAC) (13+) will resume and all young artists are welcome. Connecting passionate teens from regional area high schools, participants will deepen their understanding of contemporary practices, both in their own works and in their roles as artists in the greater community.

FREE Family Day is back, as well, this September and for the first time will offer docent led family friendly tours and artmaking in both English and Spanish! Bringing families together for a day of fun, art-making, and snacks, Family Day has been made possible, thanks to the Healthcare Foundation of LaPorte.

Gallery Tours are also available for small groups, organizations, camps, and other programs. To schedule your docent-led exhibition tour, contact Executive Director Janet Bloch: jbloch@lubeznikcenter.org.

To schedule a children's tour, contact our Education Director Nelsy Marcano: nmarcano@lubeznikcenter.org.

To register for any of these exciting classes and workshops, visit lubeznikcenter.org/learning or call 219.874.4900.

Because accessibility is at the heart of its mission, scholarships for all ages are available for all of LCA's Fall offerings, thanks to the generous support of the Unity Foundation of La Porte County and LCA’s Dolly Fund. LCA galleries are open six days per week, free of charge.
