Easter Egg Hunts & "Colors of the World' Culture Fest

UNDERWATER EGG HUNT Sunday, April 3rd from 10:45am-12:15pm and 1:00pm-2:30pm at the Munster High School Aquatic Center

Ages: 2+ Fee: $10 per child

Jump in for some “egg”ploration of the water as your swim for floating and sunken eggs. A small goodie bag will be given at the end of the event. All participants must possess basic swimming skills. After the egg hunt, the Bunny will be available for a short time for photos, followed by Family Open Swim. No refunds will be given due to water/air temperature. Please use Entrance I.

FLASHLIGHT EGG HUNT Friday, April 8th at 8:30pm at Community Park Softball Field A

Ages: 9-13  Fee: $3 On-site Fee: $5

Don’t miss this eggciting and challenging evening of fun as we make a dash for the ‘stash’ hidden in Community Park! Participants will search for prize-filled eggs in this moonlight event. Just a few of the treasures that await you include coupons for candy and much more!

COMMUNITY EGG HUNT Saturday, April 9th at 9:00AM at Community Park Softball Fields A & B

Age Groups: Walking to 2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, and CSRI. Fee: $3 On-Site Fee: $5

Grab your basket and hop on down to our egg hunt! Boys and girls are invited to spend an ‘egg’citing morning hunting for prize-filled eggs with the Easter Bunny. A few lucky hunters will find ‘eggs’tra special eggs that can be ‘eggs’changed for larger prizes.

NOW SEEKING GROUPS for “COLORS OF THE WORLD” CULTURE FEST

The Munster Parks & Recreation is currently seeking cultural (groups, organizations, clubs) to work together with them to host the first “Colors of the World” Culture Fest. This one-day event will be held at Centennial Park on Saturday, June 25th from 12-6pm. This will be a fun afternoon of live performances, entertainment, arts with cultural booths for storytelling, education, displays, and experiences to learn about the heritage of many of our residents in Munster and the surrounding communities.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED in meeting or sharing information we are seeking people of different cultural backgrounds to perform, sell fair trade, be a part of the event with a cultural booth, specialty foods, artisan products, etc. Please contact Jill Higgins at jhiggins@munster.org.
