Chicago Art Fair continues to Oct. 10 at The Mart in Chicago.

"It's very important for us to bring artists, galleries, collectors and the city of Chicago together," said Eric Smith, owner of Chicago Art Fair, at a recent preview for the event.
Smith said a show such as the Chicago Art Fair, which took six months of planning, is a positive experience for attendees as well as participating artists and gallery owners.
"We encourage people to talk to the gallery owners and learn about the stories behind the art," Smith said.

During the preview, a special announcement was made about a returning art event. Next year, the popular SOFA Chicago will return to the city as a part of Chicago Art Fair.
