Westville – Thursday, December 1st, detectives from the Indiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division at the Lowell Post initiated an investigation at the request of the Westville Correctional Facility into the death of inmate Matthew Chester, 53 years of age.
Investigators are being assisted by the LaPorte County Coroner’s Office. An autopsy has been conducted, and those results as well as toxicology are pending. This is an active investigation. No more information will be released at this time.
