Indiana Conservation Officer Mark Baker was presented with the Indiana Fraternal Order of Police’s (FOP) Danny C. Overly Award at the organization’s recent annual conference in Muncie.

The award is presented annually to a member of the FOP Critical Incident Memorial Committee who “exemplifies the principles of dedication to duty, relentless self-sacrifice, meritorious service to law enforcement, dedication to honoring those who have made the supreme sacrifice and rendering assistance to those who survive.”

Baker serves as the coordinator of the Indiana Conservation Officer Honor Guard team and is a member of the Indiana FOP Memorial Team. He has served as a conservation officer since 2006 and is assigned to Madison County.

The award is named after the founding chairman of the Indiana FOP Critical Incident/Memorial Team.
