Research shows people with atrial fibrillation (A-Fib) are five times more likely to have a stroke.

Join Community Healthcare System physicians as they discuss the connection between these two potentially life-threatening conditions and what you can do to protect yourself.

“Don’t Miss a Beat: Understanding A-Fib and Stroke,” which runs from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8 at Valparaiso Health Center of St. Mary Medical Center, 3800 St. Mary Drive, will feature these presentations:

  • “Stroke: Always B.E. F.A.S.T.” by Mark Simaga, MD, neurology, stroke medical director
  • “The A-Fib Connection” by Samer Ajam and Tarek Ajam, MDs, electrophysiology
