A Christmas Carol is opening tomorrow, Dec. 3 for a three weekend run at Chicago Street Theatre in Valparaiso.

A Christmas Carol  |  by Charles Schario  |  Based on the novel by Charles Dickens  |  Directors Sheri Nash-Braun & Jonni Pera

This familiar tale often features a large cast to bring it to life. Our version features only 7 actors and the focus is on Dickens' powerful language, humor, and warmth. Join a young boy as he discovers the story for the first time and eventually becomes a part of it.

If you're a fan of Sunday matinees, don't hesitate! These are selling quickly.

We also have matinees on Saturdays at 2:30 as well as early evening performances Saturdays at 5:30 PM.

When we've offered these in the past, patrons have appreciated the ability to see the show then go to dinner. No more stress about missing curtain if you happen to experience slow service! See a show then visit one of Valpo's fabulous downtown restaurants for a leisurely post-show meal.

Curtain on Fridays is 8 PM. There will be one Thursday performance, Dec. 16 at 7:30PM. 

The approximate run time is 70 minutes with no intermission. Mask protocols are in place so if  you are unable or unwilling to wear a mask while in the theatre, please visit us at a later date. If you are not feeling well day of show, please contact box office 464-1636, Ext. 1 to exchange for different date.

  • Seniors 62+ - $20

  • Military - $20
