Saturday’s game will mark the Club’s return to full soccer capacity at Soldier Field, with tickets for the match available here. The match will also introduce fans to new stadium features and the full fan experience including the unveiling of Burnham Downs, a pre-match tailgate hosted by the Club on the East Lawn that includes live entertainment, concessions, lawn and soccer games, video games (EA Sports FIFA), giveaways and more.
Opening five hours prior to kickoff, Burnham Downs will debut with a big “Day of Futbol” celebration highlighting soccer matches across international tournaments and MLS. Additionally, Saturday’s match will mark the first opportunity for fans to secure an item featuring the new Chicago Fire FC crest . Ten thousand woven patches will be given away upon entry on a first-come, first-served basis. Prior to the match, the Club will announce additional fan experience details.
The matchup will be the second time that Chicago and Atlanta face off this season. The Fire (1-7-2, 5 points) traveled to Mercedes-Benz Stadium on April 24 and midfielder Luka Stojanović scored his second goal of the season in the 3-1 defeat. Atlanta (2-2-5, 11 points) faced New York Red Bulls today.
The Fire is 3-1-0 at home against Atlanta, coming out victorious in the previous two home matches, with a 2-0 win on Sept. 27, 2020 at Soldier Field, and a 5-1 win on July 3, 2019 at SeatGeek Stadium.
