Chesterton Art Center is excited to announce our new arts education programming for 2022-23. We have a full line-up of programs for youth and adults that will be filling our classrooms this fall!
For kids and teens, our Afterschool Art classes are offered every month from September-May for ages 5-16 and explore an arts-related topic through a wide variety of 2D media. In addition, CAC will be offering Teen Ceramics for students ages 12-18 and will focus on wheel throwing and decorative techniques.

Teen Ceramics
“Our popular Afterschool Art classes return in September,” says Jillian Bridgeman, CAC Program Director,
“Each month features a different arts-related topic. For example, the September session will focus on the Realist Art Movement as students learn about Realist artists and the techniques they used in their everyday practice. Because each monthly session offers a new topic and set of projects, we encourage families to register for one session, a few, or the whole year!"

Youth Art Class
For young artists ages 3-5, Preschool Pop-Ins are offered on the 2nd Tuesday of each month and will focus on the development of fine motor skills through creative arts learning experiences.
For adult students, returning popular classes include Ceramics, Stained Glass, Oil Painting, and Digital Photography. There will be new classes and workshops in a variety of media such as pastel, watercolor and gouache, mixed-media collage, drawing, and writing.
