Voctave: “The Spirit of the Season,” comes to the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11. The 11 incredible singers will be featured in a program of some of the most beloved holiday favorites including “O Holy Night,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Carol of the Bells of Notre Dame” and more. Voctave is perhaps best known from their viral YouTube performances of Disney medleys. This show is appropriate for the whole family.

With more than 150 million YouTube and Facebook views, Voctave is the rising superstar of the a cappella world. Jazz Weekly says, “The 11-member team Voctave brings a cappella music to a new dimension” and Lemon Wire says, “Voctave creates an ethereal sound that enthralls and engages.”
Voctave was formed in 2015 by producer and arranger Jamey Ray. Joining Ray for the MAC concert will be singers E.J. Cardona, Tiffany Coburn, Ashley Espinoza, Karl Hudson, Chrystal Johnson, Kate Lott, Drew Ochoa, Aaron Stratton, Kurt Von Schmittou and Sarah Whittemore.
The members of Voctave have roots in musical theater, contemporary Christian music, barbershop, pop and choral music. They have been seen across the globe and on countless recordings and have performed with GRAMMY, Dove and American Music Award recipients including Sandi Patty, Pentatonix’s Kirstin Maldonado, Mark Lowry, David Phelps and Jody McBrayer.
Voctave has scored multiple No. 1 songs and albums on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify. To date they have released eight albums. Their first: “The Spirit of the Season” (2016). When it was reissued in a Deluxe Edition in 2021 it reached No. 6 on the Billboard charts and their 2020 release, “The Corner of Broadway & Main Street Vol. 2” debuted at No. 3 on the iTunes charts. Earlier this year Voctave released a new album, “Goodnight My Someone,” an album of lullabies.

The McAninch Arts Center located at 425 Fawell Blvd., on the campus of College of DuPage presents Voctave: “The Spirit of the Season” at 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 11. Tickets are $65-$75. The Box Office is open Tuesday – Saturday noon – 6 p.m. and three hours prior to performance.
