Canterbury Theatre presents the Canterbury Christmas Show (With the Grumpy Green Elf!) starring media personality and actress, Donna Kavanagh, for four performances, December 16-18.
The family friendly show is created by Kavanagh, who currently hosts Kavanagh Live on NPR's Radio Harbor Country, as well as the television program What Gives on WNIT, a PBS station in South Bend.
Miss Kavanagh, a native of Michigan City, has had a storied career in the entertainment industry, including multiple film and television appearances (Fantasy Island, Love Boat, Airport '75 and Every Which Way but Loose with Clint Eastwood), as well as producing the first ongoing murder mystery dinner theatre in Chicago,
In the 1970s, Kavanagh twice traveled to then Russia-occupied Poland to teach and perform at the University of Poznan, instructing exceptional students in American music, dance, literature & theatre.
In 2021, she was inducted in the Who's Who of American Female Artists and Who's Who of Americans, due to her work during the Vietnam war, in Poland, and as well as in theater, film, television & radio.

Donna also performed in the 1970 Canterbury Summer Theatre Resident Company.
The Canterbury Christmas Show will be full of fun, laughter and surprises as the Grumpy Green Elf, played by Kavanagh, will answer questions about that jolly man in the red suit, as well as the North Pole.
However, the Grumpy Green Elf has some questions of her own that she will pose to the audience in a free-wheeling, interactive, talk show format.
Performance times are Friday, December 16 at 6:00 pm, at 2:00 and 6:00 on Saturday, December 17, and Sunday, December 18 at 2:00 pm. The show will last approximately one hour.
