Spots are still available for Camp Lakeside’s summer day camp, which runs daily through August 8. Hosted by Opportunity Enterprises, Camp Lakeside is Northwest Indiana’s premier summer day camp for kids of all abilities.
At Camp Lakeside, kids with and without disabilities come together to experience a uniquely integrated summer camp, where they develop social skills and learn to appreciate the many differences among us. Each week of camp represents a unique theme in addition to art, STEM, archery, gardening and more.
"Camp Lakeside is more than just a summer camp — it's a place where every child is seen, supported, and celebrated. By bringing together kids of all abilities, Camp Lakeside fosters real connection, builds lifelong skills, and empowers children to discover their strengths. Legacy Foundation is proud to support a program that helps shape a more inclusive, compassionate future where differences are celebrated,” states Kelly Anoe, Legacy Foundation president and CEO.
Camp Lakeside is made possible by several camp sponsors, including Legacy Foundation and the John W. Anderson Foundation. Camp sponsorships are still available. For more information on Camp Lakeside, including sponsor level information and registration, visit camplakeside.org.
Weekly registration fee for Camp Lakeside is $200. Upcoming weekly themes include Pirates and Treasure, Hometown Heroes, The Royal Kingdom, Life of a Robot, Red Carpet Awaits, Life is a Beach, Edible Exploding Exciting Science and Rock n’ Roll Through the Ages.
