(Gary) Indiana Conservation Officers are assisting with an investigation after DNR Law Enforcement divers recovered the body of an unidentified adult male from a retention pond near the intersection of Cline Avenue and Industrial Highway.
Indiana Conservation Officers were called to the scene at approximately 10:16 a.m.
The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by the Lake County Coroner’s Office.
An investigation is ongoing. Cause of death and identity is pending autopsy results.
Assisting agencies were Gary Police Department, Gary Fire Department, East Chicago Fire Department, Lake County Metro Homicide, Lake County CSI, and Lake County Aviation Unit.
