Cynthia Wilson, a veteran Region athletics administrator, has been hired as Bishop Noll Institute’s athletic director, Principal Lorenza Jara Pastrick announced recently.
Wilson has 18 years’ experience as an athletics administrative assistant at East Chicago Central and Calumet high schools, and has served the past year as interim athletic director at EC Central.
“We are so thankful that Cynthia is joining our BNI team,” Pastrick said. “As a supporter of student-athletes in Northwest Indiana, her expertise and passion for what she does will assist BNI in continuing to propel our athletic programs forward.”
Wilson – who also has coached volleyball, softball and girls basketball at EC Central, Calumet and Griffith high schools over the past 20 years – said she is looking forward to becoming a part of Bishop Noll’s rich history of academic and athletic success.
“I am extremely excited to join the BNI family,” Wilson said. “Bishop Noll has a rich tradition in athletics, and I am happy to continue growing that tradition. I was honored to be offered the athletic director position and look forward to helping our student-athletes on their path to their future endeavors.”
