I had an opportunity recently to see Provision Theater & Unshackled present their production of Ben-Hur A Live Radio Play on the stage at Theatre at the Center. The 90-minute production was an awesome experience!
In front of a deep red curtain, an announcer, a cast of professional actors, Foley artists (sound effects) and a full orchestra recreated Lew Wallace’s classic story.

Using his deepest voice, Writer/Director/Announcer Timothy Gregory introduced the story, setting the mood, and inserting segues whenever there’s a break in the action.
I can’t say enough about the cast. Without costumes, a set or props, they took the audience to the Roman Empire just using their voices!

Ben-Hur A Live Radio Play will air in two parts: Part 1 (Episode #3935) June 14th through 20th; Part 2 (Episode # 3936) June 21st through 27th.
