Recently, the Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) announced direct grant funding in each of Indiana’s 92 counties in fiscal year 2026. Ten grants were recently awarded through the Every County Funded grant program, which alongside the agency’s other grant programs, ensured that the IAC provided direct support of art and creativity in each of Indiana’s counties for the third consecutive year.
“The arts enrich our communities, strengthen quality of life, and help tell the story of who we are as Hoosiers,” said Governor Mike Braun. “By supporting arts programs in all 92 counties, the Indiana Arts Commission is making our state an even better place to call home.”
The Every County Funded program increases access to arts and creativity for all Hoosiers by targeting counties that currently have little to no IAC-funded arts programming. The IAC identifies community-based partners and provides ongoing mentorship in grant writing, project planning, and production of arts activities in their counties.
The Fiscal Year 2026 Every County Funded recipients include:
- Arts Place, Blackford County
- Bedford Public Library, Lawrence County
- Bedford Revitalization Inc., Lawrence County
- Brook-Iroquois Washington Public Library, Newton County
- Newton County Community Services, Newton County
- Historic Ritz Theater, Parke County
- Imagine:nation Rush, Rush County
- Sullivan County Public Library, Sullivan County
- Washington County Community Action Coalition, Washington County
- Streets of Monticello, White County
Arts Place will utilize Every County Funded grant funds to support the launch of Blackford County’s first ceramics program, including installation of a donated kiln, equipment, supplies, and fees for a local ceramics artist. The program will offer classes, workshops, open studio time, and kiln firing services for all ages.
Bedford Revitalization, Inc. will support the Second Saturdays Concert Series through the Every County Funded grant. The organization will produce four outdoor concerts at Harp Commons in downtown Bedford featuring Indiana musicians. The series is free and open to all.
