
Art Barn School of Art would like to announce the addition of two new members to our team, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s continued expansion and commitment to the Northwest Indiana arts community. At the end of February, Art Barn welcomed Rebecca Weber as Development Coordinator and Katelyn Kazakevicius as Marketing Manager.
Art Barn’s new Development Coordinator, Rebecca Weber, helps support the organization’s mission through data management, volunteer coordination, fundraising, and event planning. She brings over twelve years of nonprofit experience, with a background in a variety of skills, from program management to event planning. She earned a Master of Science in Management and Leadership with a concentration in Human Resources from Purdue University Global and a Bachelor of Business from Purdue Northwest with concentrations in Business Management, Organizational Leadership, and Supervision. She is excited to be a part of a place where creativity is encouraged, and everyone has a chance to participate.
Katelyn Kazakevicius joins Art Barn as the new Marketing Manager, leading social media efforts, managing media partners, and designing advertising material. A recent graduate of Purdue University Northwest, Katelyn earned degrees in both Marketing and Management and is currently returning to her alma mater to pursue an MBA with a concentration in Data Analytics. She is eager to contribute to Art Barn’s mission, looking forward to supporting and learning from the vibrant community of artists and creatives who help the region flourish.
As we welcome these new members, we would also like to acknowledge our former Marketing Director, Agia Amezcua-Bone, with heartfelt gratitude. Agia committed more than two years to the mission of Art Barn. She took over the management of marketing with both purpose and grace, completely redefining our horizons for marketing strategy. We will miss her vibrant, creative influence. We are wishing Agia the best as she moves into her next chapter.

We would like to warmly invite you to welcome the newest members of the "Art Barn family" at upcoming events. This annual Art Blitz will mark our tenth festival, we are celebrating with three days of festivities. IAC Office Hours at Art Barn is on Thursday, September 17, 5-6:30PM, join the Indiana Arts Commission, regional arts leaders, grantees, and community stakeholders for an evening of meaningful networking at Art Barn. Art Blitz Uncorked is on Friday, September 18, 6-9PM. For adults (21+), Art Barn is hosting a unique social experience where art-making meets live music, craft beverages, and good company. Our 10th Annual Art Blitz Festival will be on Saturday, September 19, 11AM-4PM. The Art Blitz Festival is back for year ten, and it's the region's biggest, most hands-on celebration of art and community. Bring the whole family for an afternoon where art isn't something you just look at, it's something you make, touch, and experience.
