This moving program is a poignant portrait of friendship and survival, brought to life through the eyes of Anne Frank’s best friend. Witness the pain, loss, and hope of young people during the Holocaust. This performance encourages the audience to discover their personal awareness of stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination
And, as an extra special treat, Jewish Community Centers of Chicago (JCC Chicago) are bringing the Violins of Hope to the Center to accompany this performance. The demonstration will include a musician playing a piece of music on a restored violin that was played by Jewish musicians before and during the Holocaust, and then a docent telling the story of that violin.

The Center for Performing Arts presents...
Summer Musical Theatre Camp
The Little Mermaid
This weeklong, in person theater camp offers an unforgettable experience for campers ages 8–15. We provide a fun and safe professional stage to build self-esteem, foster independence, and grow as individuals while learning to work as an ensemble. A team of professional teaching artists led by Whitney and Paul Minarik, will guide campers as they write their own scripts and develop their acting, singing, and dancing skills.
