South Shore Arts is proud to present the 78th Annual Salon Show, September 13 through November 6, 2021. This annual juried exhibition will offer a purse of over $10,000 in cash prices to artists accepted into the show.
The Salon Show is a tradition that has defined South Shore Arts since its inception in the late 1930s, when ten Hammond and Calumet City artists sponsored the first annual Art Exhibition of the Hammond District Art Association in the millinery department of the Minas Department Store in downtown Hammond.
Deadline for entries is 5pm, Friday, August 13, 2021. All fine art media are accepted, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, fiber, glass, digital, mixed media, ceramics, video, multimedia and jewelry. Entries may be submitted via online submission form found at www.southshoreartsonline.org. All work must be original and completed within the last two years. Entries may be submitted by any artist 18 years or older who resides or was born in the state of Indiana, who is a current member of South Shore Arts, or who resides or works in Cook County, Illinois.
