For two years of postponements, delays, and cancellations, the Central Asian Productivity Research Center finally is scheduled to present its 16th Annual Silk Road Conference on Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, at the Kent College of Law’s Auditorium, Illinois Institute of Technology, 565 W. Adams St., Downtown Chicago, Illinois.
Tentatively, the morning agenda will offer “How To” sessions for both “New-to-Export” and “New-to-Market” attendees.
The afternoon will be filled with presentations offering information about new business, trade, and investments in Central Asia, where most economies are expanding.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development reports that, “There is a new era in Central Asia. As the bridge between Asia and Europe, Central Asia is entering a new era—better connected and integrated with the wide global economy”.
Exhibits will be open throughout the day.
Representatives of the U.S. Department of Commerce and other quasi-government entities, will be available for consultation.
Professor Harry Lepinske, retired director for International Business Development, Purdue University Northwest, and Professor Coleen Hickman, former president of the Northwest Indiana World Trade Alliance, are serving on the committee and giving presentations.
