The Schaumburg Boomers and Manager, Jamie Bennett, are pleased to announce the re-signing of Kyle Fitzgerald and Anthony Calarco.
Fitzgerald returns to Schaumburg this summer for his 3rd season with the Boomers. In his second season, Kyle appeared in 54 games, batting .247 with 8 homeruns and driving in 34 runs. Fitzgerald, a native of Brookfield, had an on base percentage of .358 while drawing 31 walks.
Anthony Calarco returns to Wintrust Field for his second season with the team. Anthony joined the team July 10th and made an immediate impact at 1st base for the Boomers. Anthony, who is originally from Wilmette, played collegiately for the Wildcats of Northwestern University from 2019 -2022 and played one season for the Ole Miss Rebels in 2023. After college, Anthony spent the remainder of the 2023 season in the Texas Rangers organization with the Down East Wood Ducks.
