The Schaumburg Boomers and Clear Vision Marketing group are excited to announce that the inaugural Montez Sweat and Friends Celebrity Softball Game will take place at Wintrust Field in Schaumburg, IL on Saturday, June 7th.
The event will feature a pre-game Home Run Derby followed by the Celebrity Softball Game. Gates will open at 12 p.m. with the Home Run Derby scheduled for 2 p.m., and the Softball Game slated for 3 p.m.
“My teammates and I are shifting our focus from the gridiron to the baseball diamond to bring the community together for an unforgettable experience,” Sweat said. “This game isn’t just about hitting home runs—it’s about giving back, creating lasting memories, and sharing moments of joy with the fans who support us!”
Sweat is not the only one excited about the event as the Boomers staff also look forward to bringing this unique experience to Schaumburg.
“We are very excited to host this event at Wintrust Field. Everything we do is focused on enhancing the overall fan experience including bringing new and exciting events like this to the ballpark,” said Michael Larson, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Schaumburg Boomers.
Sweat, the 26th overall pick in the 2019 draft, was acquired by the Chicago Bears in a trade with the Washington Commanders on October 31, 2023. Four days later, Sweat agreed to a 4-year contract extension with the Bears, the third largest contract the Bears have agreed to in their 105-year history.
