
The Schaumburg Boomers have re-signed OF Christian Fedko and INF Will Prater for the 2026 season. Accompanying them are new signings OF Myles Beale and RHP Holland Townes.
Fedko Re-Signs for Third Season
Christian Fedko will return to Schaumburg after the Boomers re-signed the veteran outfielder, marking his third season with the organization since joining the club in 2024.
Fedko was one of the Boomers’ most consistent offensive performers during the 2025 campaign, finishing the year with a .296 batting average across 103 games. He recorded 120 hits, including 25 doubles and eight home runs, while driving in 66 runs and scoring 90 times. Fedko also showed strong plate discipline, drawing 66 walks and stealing 12 bases.
His production peaked in the postseason, where Fedko hit .439 in 10 playoff games. He collected 18 hits in 41 at-bats, added two doubles and a home run, and reached base frequently with seven walks.
Fedko’s ability to impact games both during the regular season and in the playoffs played a key role in the Boomers’ lineup throughout 2025, and he returns as an experienced presence heading into his third year with Schaumburg.
Boomers Re-Sign INF Will Prater
The Schaumburg Boomers have re-signed infielder Will Prater for the 2026 season, marking his fourth year with the club.
Prater, 26, appeared in 72 games last season and hit .274, while scoring a career-high 41 runs. He added 31 RBIs, seven stolen bases, eight doubles, and 25 walks.
The Powder Springs, GA., native has been a consistent presence in the Boomers’ lineup since joining the club in 2023.
Boomers Add OF Myles Beale to Roster
The Schaumburg Boomers have signed outfielder Myles Beale, who will begin his first season with the organization.
Beale joins the Boomers after a productive collegiate career at Northwood University, where he developed into a consistent top-of-the-order presence. Across four college seasons, Beale posted a .315 batting average with a .449 on-base percentage and a .478 slugging percentage. He totaled 255 hits, 21 home runs and 161 RBIs while scoring 220 runs and stealing 70 bases.
During the 2025 season, Beale turned in one of his strongest offensive performances, hitting .364 with a .505 on-base percentage and a 1.069 OPS. He recorded 80 hits, including 17 doubles and seven home runs, drove in 41 runs and stole 19 bases, continuing to show a blend of speed, power and plate discipline.
Beale also gained experience in summer collegiate baseball, appearing with Kalamazoo of the Northwoods League, adding versatility and additional at-bats against elite competition.
Defensively, Beale brings flexibility to the Boomers’ outfield. He has logged extensive time across all three outfield positions, with the majority of his collegiate innings coming in left field and center field.
Boomers Sign RHP Holland Townes
The Schaumburg Boomers have signed right-handed pitcher Holland Townes, who will begin his first season with the organization.
Townes joins the Boomers following five seasons of collegiate and summer baseball experience. Most recently, he pitched during the 2025 season at Mississippi College, where he made 18 appearances, including 16 starts, and logged 84.2 innings. Townes recorded 83 strikeouts while continuing to build durability as a starter at the NCAA level.
During the summer of 2025, Townes also appeared in 15 games with Williamsport of the MLB Draft League, gaining professional experience against top collegiate competition. He totaled 15.2 innings and struck out 20 batters.
Over his college career, Townes accumulated 161.2 innings across four seasons, striking out 150 hitters and making 28 starts. He also spent time pitching at the summer collegiate level, adding further experience out of the bullpen.
Townes adds depth and versatility to the Boomers pitching staff as he begins his professional career in Schaumburg.
