This is the 12th year that the Footlight Players award those that did an outstanding job in 15 different categories in the productions presented at the theater. The President appoints at least 15 viewers to attend every production and at the close of the evening that they view, they are given a ballot to nominate any individual they feel is deserving to be a winner.
Although the Coronavirus Pandemic has caused the group to forgo the regular dinner and presentation program this year, the viewers have made their decision and these are the results

Thom Nelson was awarded the prestigious President’s Award. Thom had been involved with Footlight since appearing in the 1993 production of MACK AND MABLE. Since that time he was instrumental in the renovation of the Footlight Theater, served as Board member, worked on many committees and made sure that the group was entered in the Summer and Winter Parades in Michigan City. He has appeared in JAKE’S WOMEN, FAN MAIL, TWO BY TWO, MOONGLOW and THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD.
