  1. Home

Sat, 12/09/2023 - 5:36pm by laughingcat

Bishop Noll Institute, in conjunction with the Lake County Public Library, will present a special event at 6 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Dyer-Schererville branch of the Lake County Library.

During this special presentation, BNI historians will share stories they uncovered while exploring the school's historical archives to create a 100th anniversary history book. Attendees will learn more about how the sociological and geographical shifts that occurred from 1921-2021 here in Lake County and nationally rippled through the student culture at Bishop Noll.

At the end of the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and talk to the history book authors. Copies of the history book will be available for purchase.

The Dyer-Schererville Branch is in Schererville on the south side of US 30 (Lincoln Highway), just west of US 41 (Indianapolis Boulevard) at Fountain Park Drive.

Register for the event by visiting www.lcplin.org or emailing advancement@bishopnoll.org.

Bishop Noll Institute began in 1921 in Hammond. Then known as Catholic Central High School, the school underwent several changes in its first century. The original building is pictured featuring a grotto and lagoon built by students.
