Governor Eric J. Holcomb offered the following statement regarding the death of Elwood police officer Noah Shahnavaz:

​​​​​​​The 2021 Frontier League Champion Schaumburg Boomers broke through in the bottom of the eighth inning to erase a 1-0 deficit and finish the month of July with a 3-1 win over the visiting Ottawa Titans at Wintrust Field.

Though the Gary SouthShore RailCats found themselves behind big in the early stages, a historic performance on the basepaths helped them turn a five-run deficit into a 10-9 victory. 

​​​​​​​The 2021 Frontier League Champion Schaumburg Boomers struck out 11 batters but suffered a 6-4 loss at home to the Ottawa Titans in the middle of the series before another crowd of over 6,000 at Wintrust Field.

Chicago Fire FC (7-10-6, 27 points) drew Atlanta United FC (6-9-7, 25 points) 0-0 at Soldier Field on Saturday afternoon, extending their unbeaten streak to four consecutive matches.

The Gary SouthShore RailCats and Cleburne Railroaders both brought their big bats to The Depot at Cleburne Station, but the visitors possessed more firepower as they pulled out a 10-7 win.
