During a recent statewide Indiana State Police Awards Ceremony, Superintendent Doug Carter presented Chief Photographer Thomas Triol with two distinguished awards, honoring his commitment to preserving the history of the Indiana State Police. First he was presented with an ISP Meritorious Service Award, then a Distinguished Hoosier Award presented by Superintendent Carter on behalf of Governor Eric Holcomb.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) appointed nine people as voting members of the Surface Transportation Security Advisory Committee (STSAC). With these appointments, two new and seven reappointed, the STSAC now includes 30 voting members.

In between April 23-29, selected Munster High School students participated as Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) Role Models. During these presentations, the high school students visit their former elementary schools to answer questions from and provide advice to younger students on subjects such as resisting peer pressure, responding to bullying, getting involved with positive activities, and the importance of making good choices.
