Today Humane Indiana’s Shelter and Adoption Center has temporarily closed for the safety of its staff, volunteers, and the community to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus.   

With the lights out on Steppenwolf’s stages, the company is sharing multiple initiatives to keep the virtual lights on during this hiatus.

The safety and health of our patrons, staff and theatrical companies is our top priority.  In response to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 (coronavirus) here is an update of the shows that are canceled or are rescheduled:

Chicago Fire FC announced today that the Club has signed Academy goalkeeper Chris Brady to a Homegrown Player contract. Brady, 16, is the 19th Homegrown signing in Club history. He is under contract with the Fire until 2023 with a Club option for 2024.

Governor Eric J. Holcomb delivered a statewide address Monday to order that Hoosiers remain in their homes except when they are at work or for permitted activities, such as taking care of others, obtaining necessary supplies, and for health and safety.

Beginning March 24, 2020 all Lake County Government buildings,including the buildings in Hammond, Gary and East Chicago, will CLOSE. This closure will remain in effect until April 6, 2020 with normal business hours and operations resuming on April 7, 2020.

The Indy Chamber launched a new online platform and service offering today for small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chicago kids stuck inside encouraged to create, videotape and submit their own five-minute play; Contest deadline is April 20
