**** Recommended **** "Sweat" is the first production in the Bold Series at the newly renovated Copley Theater inside North Island Center, across the street from the Paramount Theatre, Aurora. The new Copley is a 165 seat, state-of-the-art space. Before the show, my friend Nancy and I had a delicious dinner at Amy Morton’s newest restaurant, Stolp Island Social, next door to the Paramount at 5 E. Galena Blvd. Altogether, we had a wonderful evening. 4 Spotlights
****HIGHLY RECOMMENDED**** Giacomo Puccini's widely-beloved and extremely popular opera "Tosca" has made a triumphant return to the Lyric Opera in a new-to-Chicago production. Featuring majestic sets designed by the late Jean-Pierre Ponnelle and the exquisite costumes of the late Marcel Escoffier (including a reproduction of the legendary blood-red velvet gown worn by Maria Callas for the premiere of Franco Zeffirelli's 1964 Covent Garden production) this is the 19th production of "Tosca" that Lyric has presented in its 67-year history. However, this version is notable for the refreshing diversity represented on stage as well as in the orchestra pit. 4 Spotlights
**** Highly Recommended **** Music Theater Works production of "La Cage Aux Folles" is probably the most extravagantly glitzy yet hilariously funny show I’ve seen in a while. They’ve pulled out all the sequined stops, bringing in RuPaul’s Drag Race headliner, Ginger Minj, to play Albin and Project Runway designer Justin LeBlanc to do costumes. In fact, Minj and co-star Jason Richards have chemistry! Casting is practically perfect, choreography is outstanding and the comedy is spot-on. Finally, "La Cage Aux Folles" might be set in a drag club in St. Tropez, but at heart, it’s really about family – the family we’re born into and the family we make. 4 BIG Spotlights

Many Hoosiers dream of buying a home but may not have a good credit score or enough savings for a down payment to take a traditional loan. So, what if a landlord or a company offered the chance to eventually own the house you are renting? Be aware, while rent-to-own may be a feasible option, it is not always as sound as renting or buying a home. Rent-to-own deals may have more than one catch.
