On Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at the Civic Auditorium, the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra (LCSO) will present The Texas Tenors and the Purdue Varsity Glee Club in concert.  The Glee Club will take the stage with the LCSO in the first half and The Texas Tenors will conclude the evening with the Orchestra. The concert is made possible with the generous sponsorship of Dr. Charles and Mrs. Rita Hagenow and Purdue Federal Credit Union.

The Texas Tenors are currently touring the country after appearing on “America’s Got Talent” and amassing over a half a million followers on social media as well as 20 million views on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. With over 1,400 performances to their credit with symphonies, performing arts centers, corporate events and outdoor festivals in addition to a very successful PBS Special, they truly possess the rare quality of mass appeal. You can follow them at www.thetexastenors.com.

The Purdue Varsity Glee Club is returning to sing with the LCSO after their near sellout performance with the Orchestra in April of 2015. Under the direction of William Griffel, the Glee Club will sing several selections both with and without the Orchestra. More information on the Purdue Varsity Glee Club can be found at: https://www.purdue.edu/pmo/ensembles/purdue-varsity-glee-club.php

“We are hoping for a sell-out concert,” said LCSO Executive Director, Tim King. Tickets will be available online at WWW.LCSO.NET and balcony seats will be sold individually instead of general admission. This will give our single ticket purchasers the option of the best available seat in the balcony. Currently, there are seven (7) tables of ten (10) seats available for $500 per table as well. For table seats contact the LCSO office at (219) 362-9020 or email executive@lcso.net. “I anticipate those tickets will go quickly. Our Music Director, Dr. Carolyn Watson, will be conducting both guest performers along with the LCSO. This should be a fantastic finale to our 50th Anniversary Season,” stated King.

Limited table seating can be purchased by calling (219) 362-9020 or by email executive@lcso.net. Balcony seating will be sold only online at: https://lcso.net/event/the-texas-tenors-purdue-varsity-glee-club/
