Project Learning Tree Training
Project Learning Tree (PLT) is an award-winning environmental education initiative designed for educators, parents, and community leaders working with youth from Kindergarten to12th grade. The curriculum and activities can also be used to engage people during community outreach events. PLT advances environmental literacy, stewardship, and career pathways, using trees and forests as windows on the world.

Want to learn how you can help your local community plant more trees? Shirley Heinze Land Trust and the St. Joseph County Soil & Water Conservation District are hosting this free 1-day training event for teachers, educators, and community partners involved with the City of South Bend's urban tree canopy initiative. Plus, additional volunteer opportunities with the South Bend urban canopy initiative will be available to community members who complete this training.
