Dr. Meg Grandfield DeMakas—educator, author, and founder of Family Folklore Foundation—will share her passion for local history and storytelling in a captivating presentation on the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair.
Her work, “Millennia of Progress 1933 to 2023: The World’s Fair-Y Tales –If Houses Could Talk,” blends research, field study, and creative storytelling to uncover the journey of the Century of Progress homes to Beverly Shores.
