Telling Your Story!
Tuesday, November 19th
5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
Marshall J. Gardner Center for the Arts
540 S. Lake Street, Gary, IN 46403
We want you to feel confident and comfortable when talking about the causes that mean the most to you! Join us to hear tips and tricks from local advocates on how they tell their story. Then work with us to craft your own message that you can use in your community.
Meet Our Featured Speaker!
JANINE HARRISON (she/her) is a Professor of English & Media Communications at Calumet College of St. Joseph (IN) and an adjunct English instructor at American Public University; she is also a creative and commercial freelance writer, teaching artist, speaker, storyteller, and arts advocate. Janine served as a Highland (IN) Poet Laureate (2017-2018) and has written several publications over the course of her career.
Even as a well-established and accomplished writer, Janine manages to find time for the things that are important to her: family, traveling, and pushing her craft to new heights.
